We cover Forest Hills and Rego Park, but I bet the majority of Rego Park has no idea, so why would they give us donations if they don't see any value in doing so? Also, new members have a tough time learning who everyone is and what they do, and I don't think the corps does a good job about helping them to learn. Not sure what to do about that, I will always make introductions between new and existing members, but maybe we need a Facebook of members. :) I like your ideas.

They can not be set in stone. A policy is made and adapted to be in effect at the time it was needed and relevant. But times change what was needed then may not be needed now. Look at when our BOR were constituted. We were a newly developed country trying to establish our freedom from the brits. Our worst fear was them coming over on boats and marching on our land with guns that took a minute to reload. we had no phones or internet. There was no wmd or chemical warfare. We didn't have the same number of residence. we didn't even have all our states established yet. So these BOR were made when this country still didn't fully understand itself. But look now in the world we live in. I don't need to point out all the things that are different now. Our Bill or Rights that were established in 1791 does not reflect the state this country government and citizen mindset are in. We have more enemies now , more weapons , more ways to conduct crime , more religions , more nationalities , and a great number of people. You have all these people wanting and needing different things. But here you have the BOR that may be holding use back from better solutions and resolutions to some of the problems we have.
