Unbeknownst to me, apparently the Popstar and I have a tradition. We eat fondue after seeing a Marvel Movie. We ate fondue after The Avengers, and a year later we dipped our sticks again after Iron Man 3. I discovered this fact through the Timehop app. So here’s a bullet list of things I thought of while eating fondue:
- I don’t get the metal plates they give us at Simply Fondue. Perhaps it’s my fondue naivety, but why not give me a regular type of plate? Why does it need to be metal? Luckily I’m up to date on my Tetanus shot
- EMS Week is coming soon, and sadly the only plans I hear of are what agencies are doing for their EMTs/Paramedics. I’m not hearing much about community outreach or events to help promote the industry, only how to increase the waistlines of the providers. Some agencies have gone so far as to negate the entire EMS Week aspect and make it rather an all encompassing appreciation week to include their billing staff, call receivers, and dispatchers. I guess it’s too much to recognize people during their own weeks, such as Administrative Professionals Week (last full week in April) and National Telecommunicators Week (second week in April) and just easier to abscond with National EMS Week than to do the right thing
- Billions of vegetables are being slaughtered every day for the hunger of the vegetarians. I should eat more bacon
- I’ve always enjoyed the various works of Penn Jillette. Whether it be his magic, his writings, his podcasting, or his television shows, he is someone I enjoy being both informed and entertained by. Recently I have had the opportunity to enjoy him on the Celebrity Apprentice, and I have to be honest, I think Penn‘s going to come out on top this season. There it is, that’s my prediction. You heard it here first

And finally…
- I really haven’t commented a lot about the Boston Bombings. I think it was a cowardly act resulting in a terrible outcome that affected so many more lives than those injured that there unequivocally must be justice. I understand that the one still alive is actually a US Citizen, making him a traitor, and has garnered some sort of sympathy from the naive former #OccupyMovement members in the form of a hashtag #FreeJahar. I’m all for freedom of speech and all that, so I’m fine with it… but I’m also a believer of if you talk the talk then you need to walk the walk. So everyone who has such a bad attitude about this country, well, ya’ll can leave. Take your #FreeJahar tweets to Syria, or Egypt, or Libya, or any of those other countries that seem to treat their citizens better in your warped perspective
