EMS Week 2016 is officially upon us. This year I have two special offerings on the Kindle version of some of my works for those interested in learning a little bit more about what we do, whether you are a provider or not.
25 Things They Should Have Taught You In Medic School… But Didn’t – FREE for Kindle
This is the book I wish I had read before deciding to become an EMT. Maybe it would have had me change my mind, maybe not. Either way at least I would have come into the field with a better understanding of what EMS is REALLY about (HINT: We don’t save lives) and with my eyes “wide open”. That’s what I hoped this book could do for others whether they were thinking about a career in the field, were already in the field and feeling disappointed in their experience, or even the grizzled veterans who were finding it harder to zip up the boots every time the tones went off.
In addition to including my patent pending Blueberry Muffin Protocol, this is the second edition and includes the bonus #26 Avoid Social Networking Pitfalls.
The Pride of the Hills: A Vollie’s Memoir –
$4.99 $.99 for Kindle
War stories. We all have them. This is a collection of some of mine while volunteering at the Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Volunteering was how I truly got started in EMS and has always been a large part of my EMS experience. While there have been definite times when it was more bother than it was worth, the good times always outweighed the bad.
Most importantly it was through volunteering that I found my true motivation to be in EMS. While it took 15 years for me to figure it out, you can read about it in far less time.
