As advised by the Okfuskee County District Attorney Max Cook, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the full version of the dashcam video from Trooper Martin’s cruiser in regards to the incident that took place on May 24, 2009 with the Creek Nation EMS ambulance crew.
Here are some more quick observations in addition to the ones I made about the initial clip when it was released:
It is nice to finally see the same level of transparency from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol that Creek Nation EMS exhibited from day zero. While I think this video is evidence enough to have Trooper Martin at the very least retrained if not have his badge taken away, the real question that still remains is did Paramedic White do the right thing by resisting the attempt to place him under arrest?
More importantly what, if any, lessons have law enforcement agencies learned from this incident? What about EMS agencies?
